The medicine, Metformin, also caleld Glucophage, which is used to treat type 2 diabetes, also helps with PCOS symptoms. Metformin affects the way insulin regulates glucose and decreases the testosterone production. Abnormal hair growth will slow down and ovulation may return after a few months of use. These medications will not cause a person to become diabetic. |

Well I have heard that bananas are cnatsipntiog. Maybe you should try to eat a couple of bananas a day and see how that works. The only other thing I can think of is cheese but, eating a lot of cheese wouldn't be good for you so I wouldn't do that. Try the banana thing if that doesn't work call and ask your doctor for suggestions of natural remedies. Oh you know another thing you could do is go to one of those health stores that every kind of vitamin in the world. They know what all the vitamins do. I would do the bananas and see what the person at the health store says. I would then call your doctor and ask him if what they suggested would be good. Also make sure it will go okay with your meds. Good luck.Love,Michelle |

The best recommendation to use long term would be to irecnase your fiber intake. You can do this with the foods you eat (fruits and veggies, whole grains, etc) or with over the counter supplements (ie Benefiber).Diarrhea is actually the most common and most troubling side effect for people taking glucophage. Often what a doctor will do is titrate you up slowly, which will minimize the diarrhea. This means they will do 1 tablet of glucophage (usually 500 mg) a day for 1-2 weeks, then 2 tablets a day for 1-2 weeks, then 3, etc until you reach the dose you need. Did you just recently start taking this medication? Perhaps if you tell your doctor, they can work out a titration schedule for you. http://ygykbuat.com rokvrsq [link=http://gtlbjsbo.com]gtlbjsbo[/link] |

Rob, I take Metformin XR too. I take it for Insulin Resistance (AKA as pre-Diabetes) and PCOS. I had your same problems for the first two monhts until I took some advice from this to take all my pills (each one 500 mg) at night when I go to bed. What a difference! It might work for you as well.Take care! http://luhdpp.com jwynuwhz [link=http://jrwxxrmeu.com]jrwxxrmeu[/link] |

Ugh. Sorry to hear of the drug adjustment isesus. But I absolutely cannot go with that being the worst post ever. I could go searching through my archives for those sleep-deprived ones that contain more exclamation points than instances of the letter "e," but there aren't enough drugs in our house to convince me that would be much fun. http://jzztouj.com hfgcgh [link=http://dxlvbesca.com]dxlvbesca[/link] |
